Wat is Best Bartender?

Best Bartender is een competitie die dit jaar voor de zestiende keer wordt georganiseerd door Entree Magazine. Bartenders uit alle lagen van de Nederlandse horeca kunnen zich inschrijven voor de wedstrijd. Entree wil hiermee het mooie vak van bartending in de spotlights zetten en de beste bartenders een podium bieden.

Wie kunnen zich inschrijven?

Iedere bartender die in Nederland werkt.

Hoe gaat de wedstrijd in z’n werk?

De bartenders strijden op maandag 6 november 2023 om de titel Best Bartender in LuminAir, de nieuwe cocktailbar van het DoubleTree by Hilton Centraal Station. Uiteraard laten we weten hoe je je het beste kunt voorbereiden, maar er wordt in elk geval gelet op kennis, snelheid, gastvrijheid en originaliteit. Er wordt gewerkt met verschillende rondes, waar uiteindelijk een top 3 uitkomt. De winnaar wordt bekend gemaakt tijdens de Entree Awards op 27 november, in Theater Amsterdam.

Waarom meedoen aan Best Bartender?

*Naast dat het een leerzame (en leuke!) dag is, speel je jezelf in de kijker. De top 3 krijgt een podium-moment tijdens de Entree Awards op 27 november.

*Het winnen van Best Bartender zorgt voor een boost in je carrière. Zo openden diverse winnaars, zoals Daryl Lieuw-On en Lennart Deddens een eigen bar, en worden winnaars door o.a. drankkenmerken en horecaondernemers gevraagd als consultant.

*Media exposure: de winnaar krijgt een column bij Entree om kennis, ervaringen en zijn/haar visie op het vak te delen. Ook sturen we een persbericht naar de media met de winnende bartender.

*De winnaar neemt deel als jurylid in de volgende editie van Best Bartender.

Voor eerdere winnaars, zoals Najade Bijl, Andrei Talapanescu, Stefan Sumual, Mads Voorhoeve, Daryl Lieuw-On, betekende de titel een boost in hun carrière. Zo opende Lieuw-On zijn eigen bar en worden veel bartenders door o.a. drankkenmerken en horecaondernemers gevraagd als consultant.

Wie organiseert Best Bartender?

Best Bartender is een initiatief van Entree, een platform voor horecaprofessionals zoals ondernemers, chefs, bartenders en food & beverage-managers en ander horeca-personeel. Het merk Entree bestaat uit online kanalen (o.a. website met horecanieuws en -trends, nieuwsbrieven, trendgidsen, whitepapers), een maandelijks glossy magazine en de Entree Awards. Hiermee willen we horecaprofessionals informeren en inspireren en horecabedrijven naar een nog hoger niveau tillen.

Every year, Entree Magazine organizes the Best Bartender competition. This year, the competition day will be on Monday, November 6th, at the new hotspot in Amsterdam: LuminAir. Every bartender working in the Netherlands can register for this. The winner will be announced during the Entree Awards on November 27th.

What is Best Bartender?

Best Bartender is a competition organized for the sixteenth time this year by Entree Magazine. Bartenders from all levels of the Dutch hospitality industry can sign up for the competition. Entree aims to highlight the beautiful craft of bartending and provide a platform for the best bartenders.

Who can sign up?

Every bartender working in the Netherlands.

How does the competition work?

On Monday, November 6th, 2023, bartenders will compete for the title of Best Bartender at LuminAir, the new cocktail bar at the DoubleTree by Hilton Central Station. We will certainly let you know how to prepare best, but in any case, the judging criteria include knowledge, speed, hospitality, and originality. The competition consists of different rounds, from which a top 3 will emerge. The winner will be announced during the Entree Awards on November 27th, at Theater Amsterdam.

Why participate in Best Bartender?

In addition to being an educational (and fun!) day, you'll also put yourself in the spotlight. The top 3 will have a moment on stage during the Entree Awards on November 27th, where the winner will be revealed. Furthermore, we offer the winner a column in Entree and connect various media titles to the Best Bartender.

For previous winners like Najade Bijl, Andrei Talapanescu, Stefan Sumual, Mads Voorhoeve, and Daryl Lieuw-On, the title led to a boost in their careers. For instance, Lieuw-On opened his own bar, and many bartenders are sought after as consultants by beverage brands and hospitality entrepreneurs.

The Entree brand consists of online channels (including a website with hospitality news and trends, newsletters, trend guides, whitepapers), a monthly glossy magazine, and the Entree Awards. Our aim is to inform and inspire hospitality professionals and elevate hospitality businesses to an even higher level.
